Once I’d had success with one Flipboard magazine, I was anxious to create more. The next one was Healthcare Tech News – “Tracking the amazing convergence of med tech and mobile, cloud, Big Data, and wearable technologies devoted to improving our health.” I’d long been all about sharing valuable content for my followers — on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn primarily. It just came naturally to me. But this great new content-curation platform called Flipboard was growing rapidly and getting rave reviews, so it sure seemed to me to be an awesome place to keep sharing the valuable content I kept finding, every single day. I was interested in so many topics, it just started to make sense to keep turning those interests into magazine ideas I could launch! Healthcare technology had been building as an interest of mine, as I’d had the honor of helping the management of TreeHouse Health, a new startup incubator in Minneapolis, launch their business. I had worked in the med-tech industry earlier in my career, and still had interest in many of these technologies. On top of that, fitness technology was really starting to come into its own, with the Apple Watch hitting the market, plus any number of smartphone apps devoted to health and fitness tracking.
